For her work in horror films, she has been deemed an infamous horror queen by the media. Her fame was boosted by her character Marnie Mikes in HBO's Comedy-Drama Show Girls (2012-2017) that earned her the Critics' Choice Award. Rose Armitage's performance in Get Out, a horror film which debuted in the year 2017 was her first major break. It earned her nods at the MTV Movie Awards as well as the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
